WildCard Email

Your *wildcard* email address matches your domain name and is forwarded directly to your regular mail box.
What it means to have a "wildcard" email address is a reference to the word that appears before the "@" sign in the address.
You would write the address using your domain name after the @ sign and then ANY word you choose can be in front of the @ sign, and you can change that word whenever you want...useful for our niche marketing.
For example, if your domain name is http://www.WorldsBestMall.com then your *wildcard* address could be:
Sales@WorldsBestMall.com
Chocolates@WorldsBestMall.com
Gifts@WorldsBestMall.com
Anything@WorldsBestMall.com
etc, etc, etc,.....the variations are only limited by your imagination.
You don't have to choose one, and you don't have to use the same one every time. You literally can have a different *wildcard* for every email you use.
Remember when you are printing your domain name and your email address on your marketing materials, that you can use upper and lower case letters to make it easier to read and provide the emphasis you want people to notice. It won't matter how they type it into their browser, it will still open your site.
Look at the printed difference between:
www.worldsgreatestmall.com
and
www.WorldsGreatestMall.com
When printing on your cards and letterhead, etc, you can print with just the "www" instead of the whole "http://www". It makes for cleaner copy and will still open your site if people don't know any better than to type in with just the www.
Isn't this stuff fun! You are beginning to create a powerful personal identity for your ITI business!! Domain names are so great.....HA!...but I guess you can all tell I love this stuff <grin>
Anyhow, be thoughtful as you move forward. Just imagine that you are a new "cocacola" and one day your domain will be as recognized and visible as the big guys!!
